INTERVIEW: Civil Society of Nigeria calls on the government to look into land grabbing

Lawyers for Reform Group (LRG) and Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) have Called on the The inspector General of Police and Lagos State Government to clean Lagos State and Nigeria from the Land grabbers.

While speaking at a press conference on Monday in Lagos, the acclaimed owner of Plot 10 land opposite Clay Bustop Oregun Ikeja, Fasehun Olufemi said that the family of Tayo Ayinde and Odunbaku have collided with the Lagos State APC chieftain head and Lagos State police force in order to seize the land from him.

He said that the Land grabber collided with the Alagbon Police station and Zone 2 in order to seize the land from him using forged land document.

He noted some official names that have been working with the Land grabbers in order to seize the land from him Like Officer Danko, Tayo Ayinde, Odunbaku Family, Zone 2 districts, Tomori Williams, Lagos State APC chieftain heads, Chief of Staff, and Alagbon Police station.

He urged the Nigeria government to work towards curbing the excessive use of force and power of the Land grabbers in order to make the country a better place for investment and living.

The Solicitor and Legal Adviser of Mr. Fasehun Olufemi, Otunba Remi Adeoye noted that the Land grabbers have enlisted the police in their act of land grabbing.

He urged the Land grabbers to respect the rule of Law by going to court with their evidence of Land ownership instead of enlisting the high personality like Chief Heads and the Police men to the case.
